We have a few synthesizers and guitar pedals for effects and we use outboard gear like reverbs and compressors.
Fans are always asking us what type of gear we use and the answer is a little complicated. Sure we have our favorite plugins and soft synths but many times we will go outside of those go-to tools and look for a unique flavor.
The Polymoon that Ambivibe uses is a great example of that. Simply connecting the pedal to the Deepmind 12 and twisting a few knobs can create interesting soundscapes.
The Strymon Big Sky that Auracode uses can produce long lush tails on any key pressed on the Deepmind. One simple note can ring out for several minutes creating a minimalist soundscape.
Experimentation is key and that is how 3rd Element came to be.
